Terms and Conditions for Carpet Cleaners W12
These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners W12 provides professional carpet cleaning services to domestic and commercial clients in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before arranging any service. These terms are written to be clear and practical, and they apply to all standard carpet cleaning appointments, including stain treatment, deodorising, and related surface cleaning tasks requested as part of the service.
For the purposes of these terms, references to “we”, “us”, “our”, or “the company” mean the service provider operating under the Carpet Cleaners W12 name, and references to “you” or “the customer” mean the person requesting or receiving the service. Where a booking is made on behalf of a household, business, landlord, tenant, or managing agent, the person placing the booking confirms that they have authority to do so and to accept these terms on behalf of the relevant party.
We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time. Any revised version will apply to bookings made after the date on which the revised terms are issued. If there is any conflict between a written quotation and these Terms and Conditions, the quotation will take precedence only in relation to the specific service details stated in it, and these terms will apply in all other respects.
Booking Process All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by us. A booking request may be made through our usual customer communication channels, and no booking is confirmed until we have accepted it and provided a booking confirmation. The booking confirmation may include the service date, approximate arrival window, service description, access requirements, and any agreed price estimate or fixed price. It is your responsibility to check the confirmation carefully and notify us promptly if any details are incorrect.
When arranging a carpet cleaning appointment, you must provide accurate information about the property, the number and size of rooms or areas to be cleaned, the condition of the carpets, the presence of pets, any known stains or odours, and any access limitations. If the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, we may need to revise the quotation, adjust the service time, or decline the booking. Any special requirements, including parking limitations, lift access, security procedures, or specific cleaning products requested or prohibited, should be disclosed at the time of booking.
We will use reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window, but arrival times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, previous appointments, weather, access issues, or other operational factors. A delay does not automatically entitle you to compensation. If the property is not accessible at the agreed time, or if the service cannot proceed due to conditions at the property, we may charge a call-out fee or cancellation fee in accordance with these terms.
Payments and Pricing Prices are normally based on the size of the area, the type of carpet, the level of soiling, the cleaning method required, and any additional treatments requested. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all prices are quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to VAT where applicable. Any estimate given before inspection is based on the information supplied by you and may be adjusted if the actual condition or scope of work differs materially from the details provided at booking.
Payment is due in full upon completion of the service unless we have agreed alternative payment terms in advance. We accept the payment methods communicated at the time of booking or invoicing. If payment is not made immediately on completion where required, we may suspend further work, withhold final documentation, or pursue recovery of unpaid sums. You agree to pay any bank charges, chargeback fees, or collection costs reasonably incurred due to failed or reversed payments, except where such charges arise from our own error.
If the service requires additional work requested by you on the day, such work will be chargeable in addition to the original price. Examples may include further stain treatment, extra rooms, upholstery items, or extended drying support. Any discount, promotion, or special offer applies only as stated and cannot be combined with another offer unless we expressly permit it. We may refuse to begin or continue work if the payment terms are not acceptable or if there is a reasonable concern that payment will not be made.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Where notice is received sufficiently in advance, we will aim to rearrange the appointment without charge. If you cancel too late, fail to provide access, or are not ready for the service to begin at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee or a reasonable proportion of the agreed price to cover lost time and administrative costs. The amount charged will reflect the circumstances and any work already carried out.
If we need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, equipment failure, unsafe conditions, or any other operational reason, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer an alternative appointment. We will not be liable for indirect losses arising from a cancellation or rescheduling decision made for legitimate operational or safety reasons, provided we act reasonably. You are responsible for ensuring that the carpets and surrounding areas are reasonably clear and accessible so that cleaning can be carried out safely and efficiently.
Where key collection, concierge access, parking permits, or other arrangements are needed, you must make sure that they are in place at the time of the appointment. If access is delayed or impossible because of missing keys, incorrect instructions, security restrictions, or similar issues, we may treat the appointment as cancelled by you. We may also charge for wasted travel time where we have attended the property but are unable to begin work through no fault of our own.
Service Standards and Customer Responsibilities We will use reasonable care and skill in providing our carpet cleaning services and will aim to deliver results consistent with the condition of the fibres, the type of stain, and the cleaning method selected. However, carpet cleaning outcomes can vary according to age, wear, previous cleaning history, backing material, dye stability, and pre-existing damage. We do not guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odours, marks, or indentations, especially where they are permanent or have been present for a long time.
You must tell us about any delicate, antique, natural-fibre, hand-made, or otherwise sensitive carpet materials before work begins. Certain carpets may require a cautious approach, a test patch, or a modified cleaning method. If you fail to disclose relevant information and damage occurs as a result of undisclosed conditions or unsuitable materials, we will not be responsible for that damage to the extent permitted by law. You should also remove small personal items, fragile belongings, and valuables from the work area before we arrive.
We may decline to clean carpets that are excessively worn, contaminated, water-damaged, infested, or otherwise unsafe to treat. In some cases, we may recommend that no cleaning is performed where the risk of further damage is unacceptably high. Any advice we give is provided in good faith based on the information available at the time. It remains your responsibility to decide whether to proceed, and proceeding after receiving a warning will be at your own risk except where consumer protection law states otherwise.
Liability Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law. Subject to that, our liability is limited as set out below. We will not be responsible for losses that are indirect, incidental, or consequential, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of use, except where such losses are recoverable under mandatory law.
Where damage occurs because of our proven negligence, our liability will be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the affected item, taking into account age, wear, and depreciation. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing defects, poor carpet condition, hidden stains, dye bleed from unstable fibres, shrinkage, insufficient drying due to poor ventilation, or the customer’s failure to follow our instructions. The same applies where damage is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, any claim relating to our service must be notified to us as soon as reasonably possible after the issue is discovered and in any event within a reasonable time. You must allow us the opportunity to inspect the issue and, where appropriate, to return and remedy it before engaging a third party. Failure to permit inspection or remediation may affect the availability or value of any claim. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Waste Regulations and Disposal We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste management and environmental requirements. Any waste generated during the provision of carpet cleaning services, including packaging, disposable materials, used cloths, residue from spot treatment, or contaminated debris removed as part of the cleaning process, will be handled responsibly and disposed of in a lawful manner. Where disposal requires separation, containment, or transfer to an authorised facility, we will take reasonable steps to comply with the relevant rules.
You must not ask us to remove, handle, or dispose of materials that are unlawful, hazardous, or outside the normal scope of carpet cleaning unless we have expressly agreed to do so and are legally able to comply. This includes, but is not limited to, asbestos-containing materials, medical waste, sharps, chemical containers, or items contaminated in a manner that requires specialist disposal. If such items are discovered during the service, we may stop work in the affected area and request further instructions.
If the cleaning process produces wastewater or residue that must be managed carefully, we will take reasonable precautions to prevent environmental harm and avoid discharge in breach of applicable regulations. You agree to provide any information necessary for safe handling and to cooperate with lawful disposal arrangements. Where the customer requests disposal beyond what is normally incidental to the service, any additional charges, if applicable, will be explained in advance.
Force Majeure We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where the failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, fire, flood, power failure, transport disruption, public health restrictions, labour disputes, supplier failure, civil disturbance, or similar events. If such circumstances arise, we may suspend, postpone, or cancel the service without liability for resulting delay, provided we act reasonably and communicate with you as soon as practicable.
Data and Privacy Any personal information collected in connection with a booking will be used only for legitimate business purposes, including scheduling, invoicing, service delivery, customer administration, and record keeping. We will handle personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law. We do not sell customer data, and we retain information only for as long as necessary for business, legal, or accounting purposes.
Complaints and Disputes If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, you should raise the matter with us promptly so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, seek a fair resolution. We may request photographs, a description of the issue, and access to inspect the affected area. Any dispute should first be raised in good faith and through reasonable dialogue. This does not affect your statutory rights or any remedies available under applicable consumer law.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland and mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
By booking Carpet Cleaners W12, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. They are intended to provide a fair framework for both parties and to support a professional, transparent, and efficient carpet cleaning service. If any term is found to be inconsistent with mandatory UK law, that term will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary so that the rest of the agreement remains effective.
These Terms and Conditions form the complete agreement between you and us in relation to the service, unless replaced or varied by a separate written agreement signed or expressly accepted by both parties. No statement made in advertising, quotation, or informal communication will override these terms unless we confirm the change in writing.
